BKCC overwhelm BSC by 123 runs in Veteran Cricket

Imphal, December 20 2024: T Lenin produced a prolific bowling performance as BKCC, Bamon Kampu trounced BSC, Brahmapur Sangai Chuthek by 123 runs in a lopsided Group A league match of the ongoing 21 st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2024-25.BKCC opted to bat first at Langthabal Public Ground after the won the toss and amassed 154 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted 30 overs riding on notable contributions from Md Riyajuddin 40 not out, Okram Suraj 29, Johnson L 17, K Sushil 17 and Bocha Singh 12 not out.

The total proved too big as T Lenin ran through the BSC batting line up with ease on the way to his 8-wicket haul (8/16 in 5 overs) and Md Riyajuddin (2/14 in 5.5 overs) chipped in with a two wicket haul.

I Thoungamba topscored with 9 runs as none of the BSC batters were able to reach double digit score in the chase.

T Lenin was eventually adjudged player of the match.
