4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament : Al-Ameen, SHADOW, YWC progress into quarterfinals

Al-Ameen, Lilong; SHADOW, Thangmeiband and YWC, Langthabal eased into the quarterfinals of the 4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament with pre-quarterfinal victories against their respective rivals today.
In a rain-shortened pre-quarterfinal match staged at PTRC ground in Patsoi Part IV, Al-Ameen clinched a 6-wicket win over YESSDAN, Ningthoukhong to reach quarterfinals by chasing down a modest total of 104 runs.

Toss winners YESSDAN did not have the best of the start and ended up gathering 104 for 6 wickets in 18 overs.
Heisnam Ibungo 28 and Oinam Jeenivash 19 not out emerged the leading run getter as Shohel Akter (2/5 in 4 overs) and Awais (2/26 in 4 overs) led the bowling attack for Al-Ameen.
In the chase, Maibam Ashique's leading 31 off 29 balls helped Al-Ameen to ease to winning 106 in 14.5 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.
Ningthoujam Rajesh (2/34) and Heisnam Nganba (2/24) led the YESSDAN bowling attack and returned with two wicket hauls.
Shohel Akter of Al-Ameen was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, SHADOW posted a dominating 9-wicket win over TRAU, Kwakeithel to confirm their quarterfinal ticket.
SHADOW bowled out TRAU for 172 runs in 28.2 overs riding on a concerted bowling effort and chased down the target thanks to half century knocks from Kh Devis (78 off 68 balls; 11 fours) and Sagatpam Telheiba (71 off 59 balls; 9 fours) .
For TRAU, Potsangbam Jeet scored highest 60 off 72 balls as they were asked to bat first.
Arubam Goshan (2/39), Kh Devis (2/20) and Chinglembam Haobam (2/15) of SHADOW shared 6 crucial wickets in the first innings.
Kh Devis was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, YWC pulled off an 8-wicket win over YAL, Thoubal Leishangthem to ease into the quarterfinals as Daneil Seram shone with a five-for.
YAL won the toss and chose to bat first but were bundled out for 87 runs in 21 overs as Daneil Seram (5/13 in 6 overs) rattled their batting line up with the assistance of Kelvin Khoisnam (2/8 in 3 overs), Seram Tondonsana (1/11), Leishanthem Chinglemba (1/15) and Leishangthem Chingthang (1/21) .
In reply, YWC lost Sayonba 16 and Poreinganba Sapam 1 to Keisham Nongpoknganba before Seram Tondonsana 37 off 27 balls and Mujamin 26 off 26 balls finished off the chase within 11.1 overs by forging 67 runs for the third wicket.
For YAL, only Thoiba 27 and Yengkokpam Henary 10 made double digit scores.
