YUC, BMSC win in IW 1st Divn League

Imphal, August 16 2022: YUC, Irom Meijrao and BMSC, Taobungkhok posted wins today at SKYC ground in the ongoing 28th L Sangita Devi Memorial 1st Division Football League Tournament.

In the 6th match of the tournament, YUC who opened their campaign with a 3-1 beating of YWC, Langthabal extended their winning run with a slender 1-0 victory over KYC, Khurkhul.

The lone goal that helped YUC earn the second win was scored by Vandaman in the 33rd minute of the match.

Meanwhile in the 7th match of the tournament, BMSC who went down 1-3 to SDC, Samurou notched up a 2-0 win over SCK, Kodompokpi.

Priyaball and L Alex Singh netted a goal apiece in the 36th and the 40th minute to give BMSC a comfortable first half lead and the eventual win.

BMSC enjoyed a slight edge in terms of possession from the word go but were denied by the strong defence line of SCK before Priyaball succeeded finding the gap in the 36th minute.

SCK however stonewalled all BMSC attempts in the second half even if they foiled to capitalize on their chances.

SCK were reduced to 10-man at the fag end with M Romesh receiving a direct red card.

The next matches are scheduled on August 20 .

YAC will be meeting in the first match on the said day from 1 pm before YWC-L take on IFC, Lamphel from 2.30 pm .
