Rajningthou Memorial Trophy: SU, KASC end losing streak as ESU cruise to third win

Sagolband United (SU), Sagolband and KASC, Khomidok ended their 2-game losing streak as ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound registered their third win in four Group C matches in the ongoing 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 .
ESU seal their third win by thrashing KSDO by 138 runs in a Group C match at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Hanjabam Naoba 51 and Hanjabam Donba 42 led ESU to 222/10 after the elected to bat first before restricting KSDO to 84 all out in 22 overs riding on Thokchom Simesh (3/11) and Yumkham Yoirelba (3/17) who shared 6 crucial wickets.

For KSDO, Md Soheb 3/28 led the bowling attack before having a forgetful chase.
SU meanwhile opened their Group D account after two losses by defeating CYSA, Khangabok by 43 runs at Khudeibam Lampak.
SU erected 152/9 in 35 overs thanks to RK Philan 40 and S Devraj 27 after electing to bat first and bowled out CYSA for 109 runs in 29.5 overs as David Keisham 4/23, S Hemjit 2/16 and K Yaikhomba 2/19 combined well.
For CYSA, Ph Soheb 4/24 and N Sanamacha 3/34 shared 7 wickets in a lost cause as only W Aijak 11 emerged to be only double digit run getter in the chase.
Meanwhile KASC, Khomidok defeated YESSDAN by 4 wickets for the first Group A win in three matches.
KASC bundled out YESSDAN for 62 runs in 21 overs with Jaheer 5/11 in 5 overs, Md Ruhal 2/4 and Md Sakif Hussain 2/0 leading the bowling attack and chased down the target in 14.1 overs with 4 wickets left to spare.
At Thoubal Moijing Public Ground, AMCA Thoubal defeated YPHUC, Lalambung by 34 runs to post their second Group B victory in three games.
It was also the third and final loss of YPHUC.
Put in to bat first AMCA posted 177/9 in 35 overs thanks to a half century knock from Moichingmayum Md Anash (53 off 38 balls).
Konsam Mangal 3/29 and Irom Ishor 2/10 of YPHUC were the leading bowlers.
YPHUC then ended up scoring 143/9 in the chase despite Irom Sunny's 63-ball 48 as AMCA bowlers produced economical bowling performances.
Kh Fariyaz 3/16 and M Md Yakin 2/27 led the bowling for AMCA.
