60th Senior National Kabaddi Championships begins

The 60th Senior National Kabaddi Championships organised by Manipur State Kabaddi Association (MSKA) under the auspices of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has commenced today at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium with President of Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) Bijoy Koijam.
Eight men's teams and six women's teams are competiting in the championships which will conclude on December 18 .
Indian Railways, Manipur, Assam and Odissa are competiting in men's pool A while Jharkhand, Bihar, Tripura and Nagaland are competiting in Pool B .
In women's Pool A, Indian Railways, Bihar and Jharkhand have been drawn while Odissa, Manipur and Assam are competing in Pool B .

On the opening day, Odissa beat Manipur in men's category.
Odissa won 28 points while Manipur could earn only 18 points.
In the second match, Jharkhand beat Tripura and the score was 49-14 points in favour of Jharkhand.
In another match, Bihar beat Nagaland 37-4.Meanwhile, Indian Railways with 57 points beat Assam who could bagged only 28 points.
Bihar again beat Tripura in another match.
The score was 69 for Bihar and 7 for Tripura.
Jharkhand again beat Nagaland with the scores at 61-15 in favour of Kharkhand.
Odissa who beat Manipur in the first match defeated Assam with 38 points.
On the other hand Assa, could earn only 25 points.
In women's category, Manipur beat Assam in the first match.
The score was 39 for Manipur and 22 for Assam.
In the second match, Bihar after winning 38 points defeated Jharkhand who could earn only 26 points.
The third match of women's category was won by Indian Railways after defeating Jharkhand.
Railways won 38 points while Jharkhand won only 9 points.
