15th Manipur State League: RAU cap Group Acampaign with 3-1 victory over YUFC

Imphal, November 21 2022: RAU capped their Group A campaign in the ongoing 15th Manipur State league with a 3-1 beating of YUFC for the fourth win at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong today.

RAU and YUFC saw out the first half goalless despite plenty of chances before Ngangom Jiten earned RAU the lead in the 49th minute before Ahanthem Rishan doubled the advantage in the 56th minute.

RAU carried forward the onslaught with Maisnam Arbison netting the team's third two minutes later to make it 3-0.Yarkhok United FC were able to pull back a goal through substitute Blessing Keishing in the 72nd minute.

With the win, RAU are currently third in the table on level 14 points with AFC but with higher goal difference.

Later in the day, Muvanlai Athletics (MA) played out a 1-1 draw with AFC.

MA led the first half through Ngamminlengou Touthang goal in the 16th minute but AFC fought back and equalised through Singamayum Farid Shah in the 72nd minute.

With neither team finding the winner, the two sides were forced to share a point each.
