3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy : Th Lucky, T Vikash's blitzkriegs power PCC to 415-run victory against LCC

A sensational century knock by Thokchom Lucky and half century quickfires from Takhelmayum Vikash, Ziad Khan and Wairokpam Max fashioned PCC, Mayaikoibi a record breaking 415-run victory against LCC, Lamshang today in a Group C match of the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy.
PCC forged a mammoth total of 481 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs here at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground after opting to bat first as Lucky blazed a 39-ball 112 on the back of 17 fours and 6 sixes while Takhelmayum Vikash (90 not out off 39; 7 fours and 8 sixes), Ziad Khan (60 off 49; 7 fours and 1 six) and Wairokpam Max (55 off 29; 4 fours and 4 sixes) struck half centuries.

LCC, chasing for the big total, crumbled at 66 runs in 22.4 overs as Mairembam Lucky (4/17 in 8 overs), Th Lucky (2/11 in 6 overs) and Ziad Khan (2/18 in 4 overs) rattled their line up with ease and sealed the second straight victory for PCC.
Only L Prithibash 10, M Raju 10 and Thongam Sun 14 managed double digit scores for LCC in this innings.
Thongam Sun (3/75), Mutum Raju (2/76), Thongam Milan (2/85) and Senjam Omega (2/68) were among the wickets for LCC in the first innings that witnessed them conceding as many as 59 extras.
Th Lucky who struck a century and picked two wickets was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile, SHADOW beat THAU by 99 runs in a rain-hit Thangmeiband derby at Lairenjam Public Ground for the first Group B victory in two matches.
SHADOW piled up 210 runs for all wickets down in 26.4 overs thanks to remarkable knocks from Sagatpam Lanchenba 98 off 76 and Kh Devis 49 off 29.The target was however revised and reduced to 179 in 30 overs via VJD/ other method due to rain.
Chasing the new target, THAU slumped to 79 all out in 27.3 overs as Lanchenba (3/17), Achoibam Gunaraj (2/14) and Haobam Chinglemba (2/15) combined well to disrupt the chase.
Earlier in the first innings, K Rohan of THAU produced a spellbinding bowling performance and finished with a fifer (5/2 in 2.4 overs) .
Sagatpam Lanchenba deservedly walked away with the player of the match accolade.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College Ground, Al-Ameen, Lilong beat CYSA, Khangabok by 76 runs.
Put in to bat first, Al-Ameen posted 178/10 courtesy of leading knock from Maibam Ashique (78 off 52) before Md Duwa Aziz picked four wickets (4/19) to set up CYSA collapse at 102 in 28.5 overs.
Maibam Ashique was named man of the match.
The day also saw ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound registering their second straight Group A victory by defeating AMCA, Thoubal by 100 runs.
Hanjabam Naoba's leading 92 off 90 balls helped toss winners ESU amass 205 runs for 10 wickets before Kh Bishomcha (4/26), Thokchom Simesh (3/25) and H Donba (2/30) ran riot to dismiss AMCA for 105 runs in 23 overs.
H Naoba Sharma was declared player of the match.
In a Group E match staged at Moijing Public Ground, YWC, Langthabal notched up a 10-wicket win against SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai by chasing down a meagre target of 70 runs within 9.2 overs.
Yumnam Chingkheinganba was the destroyer in chief for YWC as he collected 7 wickets for 15 runs in his spell of 4.2 overs to dismantle SCCC for 69 runs in 16.2 overs before Chingkheinganba 38 off 33 and Sorokhaibam Thoungamba 23 off 24 produced an unbeaten first wicket partnership in the chase.
Chingkheinganba was adjudged player of the match.
