KYU hails Boithang Haokip-The David Beckham of Shillong

Kanggui Youth Union today hailed Boithang Haokip, who has been recently voted FPAI Indian Player of the year, on his significant achievement.
FPAI (Football Player Association of India) is the sole representative body for all professional players across India and is a member of FIFpro-the worldwide body for professional players.
Hailing the 24-year old star midfielder of FC Lajong, Shillong in congratulatory note signed by its president Hechon Singson and secretary Lynd Kipgen, KYU said Boithang Haokip is a 'Complete and remarkable player" .
"We are physically, morally, emotionally and spiritually delighted towards your achievement that shows the world that we can do it", the KYU note said, and added that it is a pride and honour for Kanggui particularly the youth to have him among them.
The congratulatory note further said that Boithang Haokip creates history by achieving the coveted award of FPAI Indian Player of the year and pointed out that he is the first footballer from Kanggui to achieve the honour and also probably among the Kuki community in the entire world.
KYU also thanked everyone who voted for the young player midfielder.
Boithang Haokip, a native of Kanggui, is the youngest among six children born to of Late Henkholal Haokip and Vahkho Haokip.
Boithang was inspired by his own father to step in the field of soccer since his childhood days.
Indian Football historian Novy Kapadia called Boithang Haokip, the Shillong Lajong FC star midfielder as "The David Beckham of Shillong" .
