MSL : Late winner helps RAU set up title clash with KLASA

Imphal, December 03 2022: Rising Athletic Union (RAU) reached the 15th Manipur State League final with a slender 1-0 win over Sagolband United today at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

They will meet defending champions KLASA-Keinou in the ultimate clash.

It was a neck and neck semi-final encounter today with SU who emerged Group stage winners and third placed RAU having fair share of possession and scoring chances.

Despite some close calls on both ends, neither team were able to find the breakthrough until RAU's captain Wakam Michael made the most of a free-kick from the left flank to surprise the SU custodian and gave his team the headway just two minutes away from the 90th minute mark.
