PHAM beats HAYT boys, draws HAYT girls

In today's matches of the 1st State Level SEYO Challenge Cup HOckey Championship, 2010 organised by the South East Youth Organisation (SEYO), SIngjamei Kshetri Leikai at SEYO Sports Complex, Akampat Imphal, PHAM girls and HAYT girls played a draw while PHAM boys beat HAYT boys and LMHT beat hoist SEYO.
In the first match played today PHAM girls and HAYT girls played a draw with scores 2-2 .
Both teams displayed a real tough fight against one another throughout the match right from the beginning.
The two goals of PHAM were scored by Sarita and Olivia while L Diana scored the two goals of HAYT.
HAYT first lead the match in the 3rd minute of the match.
With one goal ahead of them, PHAM tried hard to equalise the score and succeeded in the 9th minute of the match with a goal of B Sarita.
In the 15th minute of the match Diana of HAYT scored another goal against PHAM.
However W Olivia of PHAM equalised the score in the 27th minute of the match.
No further goals were scored by both teams and the match concluded in a tie.
In the first match of boys' category, PHAM beat HAYT 6-0 .
PHAM dominated the match right from the beginning giving no chance for HAYT boys to strike back.
Y Nelson of PHAM scored four goals against HAYT and earned a hat trick.
The other two goals were scored by W Nirajkumar.
Nelson scored the first goal in the 4th minute of the match.
He scored the other three goals in t he 12th, 13th and 19th minutes of the match.
W Nirajkumar scored his two goals in the 21st and 29th minutes of the match.
The second match of boys' category which was played between LMHT and host SEYO was won by LMHT after defeating SEYO 3-0 .
Both teams played the match with full determination to win.
However lack of better coordination among the players of host SEYO in the first half of the match resulted to their loss.
All the three goals of LMHT were scored in the first half of the match.
The first goal was scored in the 8th minute of the match by L Malemnganba.
L Deepu scored the second goal in the 16th minute while L Rajesh scored the third goal in the 19th minute of the match.
With three successive goals scored by LMHT against them, host SEYO began to play the match more substantially and tried their best to equalised the score.
With high hopes to equalise the score SEYO played the match with full coordination.
However they could not scored back at least a single goal against their strong opponent LMHT and lost the match.
