AR conducts sports meet, friendly football

Imphal, July 08 2024: Assam Rifles organised a sports meet at Tengnoupal Government High School from July 5 which had 500 students from six schools competing in athletics and team sports.

Winners of the sports meet, which concluded on Sunday, were awarded prizes by Assam Rifles, informed a release of PRO IGAR (S), adding that the sports meet was aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition among the youth of the region.

Assam Rifles also organised a friendly football match with football enthusiasts of Singlun Football Academy, Rengkai Village, Churachandpur district on Monday.

According to the PRO, the event concluded with felicitation of the winners, distribution of football kits, and pledge to promote harmony and peace in the region.
