Sora Cup 9-a-side Football Tournament kicks off today

Kakching, February 02 2025: Sora Cup 9-a-side Football Tournament 2025, organised by All Sora Club's Co-ordinating Committee (ASCCOC), will commence on Monday at Sora High School playground, Kakching district.

The opening ceremony will be attended by MLA Okram Surjakumar as chief guest, ASCCOC president ML Zulfikar Alam Sheikh as president, Pallel Zilla Parishad Administrative Committee's member Md Zulfukar and Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee's secretary Kshetrimayum Kennedy as guests of honour.

The tournament will feature 18 teams divided in four groups.

Group A comprises CUB FC Yairipok, Paobitek FC Paobitek, Football Lovers Manipur, and FC Lamjao.

Group B has LAAGAN FC Sora, SDA Kiyamgei, San-gaiyumpham FC, Tombi FC Lilong, and Irengband FC.

Group C consists of Sora FC, Ding Dong Bell Man-tak, SMFC Sangaiyumpham, AAFIYA FC Phoudel, and Kangshang FC Kangshang Pallel.

Teams in Group D are SSC Porompat, Mukaan FC Sora, Free Palestine Sangaiyumpham, and Shahrukh FC Yairipok.

CUB FC Yairipok and Paobitek FC Paobitek will play in the opening match at 2 pm .
