RRFC clinch Senapati Super League title

Senapati, August 21 2022: Royal Rangers FC from Laii village (Poumai) emerged champions of the Super Division League in the 1st (late) Stanhope Chawang District Football League organised by District Sports Association, Senapati.

They secured 16 points to win the league.

In the Super Division League, Senapati FC secured 13 points, Hills United FC got 12 points, Khongdei Circle FC got 11 points, Barak United FC and Athletico D Karong FC both secured 4 points while Senapati FC (reServe) were without a point.

Meanwhile, Tamuilong FC won the Senapati District First Division League and Marahangshii FC were the runners-up.

Both teams were promoted to Super Division League for the next session.

The football league kicked off on July 22 with MLA Karong AC J Kumo Sha gracing the inaugural programme as the chief guest at Mini Stadium, Senapati.

Altogether 7 teams participated in the Super Division League and 14 teams played in the 1st Division League.

On the last day of the Super Division League on August 20, Royal Rangers FC beat Athletico D Karong FC by a 3-0 margin.

In second match, Senapati FC defeated Hills United FC 1-0 .

Meanwhile, Senapati FC (reserve) were relegated to First Division due to their poor performance in the league.
