Manipur trail IIP by 591 runs in Nayudu Trophy

Manipur were left with a mammoth task to surmount after trailing Uttar Pradesh by 591 runs in on the second day of their Col Ck Nayudu Trophy match played at Gujarat College Cricket Ground 'A' on Monday.
664/6 in 126.2 overs in their first innings where Sameer Rizvi was the stand-out batter smashing 297 off 191 balls, with notable contributions from Vishal Pandey (94), Siddarth Yadav (92), Abhishek Goswami (70), Shivam Saraswat (45) and Aaditya Sharma (34) .
For Manipur, Th Anand picked three wickets while the Manipur's second innings as the state were 4/0 in 3 overs at stamps.
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh's duo of Kritagya KK Singh anf Zeeshan Ansari tore apart Manipur's batting lineup, claiming four wickets each as Purnank Tyagi and Sameer Rizvi bagged one each.
Al Bashid (37) was the lone bright spot for the state in their first innings that saw three batters out for ducks while the rest got dismissed at single-digit scores.
