Thang-Ta Revival Day celebrated

Imphal, May 30 2022: The 89th Thang-Ta Revival Day was celebrated at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom, Imphal West, on Monday.

The event was organised by Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur in association with Thang-Ta Maheikol Yumnam Huidrom, World Thang-Ta Federation, Asian Thang-Ta Federation and Thang-Ta Federation of India.

Huidrom Premkumar Singh, president World Thang-Ta Federation, Thounaojam Priyokumar Singh, former secretary Thang-Ta Federation of India, and Heikrujam Cha Babu, secretary Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur attended the event as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Late Thang-Ta artistes and officials of Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur, Thang-Ta Maheikol and World Thang-Ta Federation were remembered and floral tributes were paid to them on the day.

Huidrom Premkumar, president World Thang-Ta Federation and president Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, spoke on the occasion.
