Friendly football, volleyball matches played

Imphal, July 04 2022:
Churachandpur Battalion of IGAR (South) organised friendly football and volleyball matches with youth of P Sejol, Hengkom and Pangsang villages in Churachandpur district on Monday.
While informing that the matches were organised as part of Fit India Movement' in order to foster healthy relations with the local youth and students, PRO IGAR (S) said in a release that after the match, an interaction with youth was carried out wherein they were briefed and encouraged to join Indian Armed Forces through various type of entries.
Meanwhile, Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a volleyball competition at Lilong in Thoubal district on Monday.
Assam Rifles aimed to harness the unlimited potential of youth of Manipur and further increase their contributions in sports activities in India.
A total of 10 students participated in the match and a healthy strength of locals witnessed the match.
In a similar gesture, Phundrei Battalion of IGAR (South) also organised a vollyeball match at Wangjing Knunou Public Ground in Kakching district on Monday.
At culmination of the event, prize distribution ceremony was organised, the PRO added.
