Imphal, August 10 2025: A reception was held on Sunday at tne residence of MLA RK Imo Singh in Sagolband, to honour the U-15 Sagolband United football team for winning the prestigious Super Cup in Bengaluru.

RK Imo congratulated the young players, praising their hard work, discipline, and determination.

He urged them to view the victory as a foundation for future success and encouraged them to aim for higher competitions at the national and international levels.

He also stressed the importance of a nutritious diet, avoiding unhealthy habits, and maintaining focus to achieve long-term goals.

As a token of support, the Sagolband MLA presented Rs 50,000 to the team officials, earmarked for the players' welfare and development.

Additionally, he announced the completion of a new double-storey club building for Sagolband United, which will soon be inaugurated.

The facility will serve as a permanent base for the team, reducing accommodation costs and improving coordination during training and tournaments.

Imo reiterated his commitment to fostering grassroots sports in Sagolband and across Manipur, expressing confidence that the state's youth would continue to bring pride to the region and the nation through dedication and excellence.
