AR organises friendly volleyball match

Noney, December 08 2022: Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a friendly volleyball match at Namkaolong Part-1 village, Noney district on Thursday.

The friendly volleyball match was organised by Company Operating Base, L Khunou to propagate the theme of "Sports Friendly North East" which is a noble initiative being conceptualised by Assam Rifles for the local youth primarily to inculcate sporting spirit in the youth.

The aim of the event was to foster the spirit of sportsmanship and building up the trust between the locals and security forces.

The match was played with full enthusiasm and aggression wherein the teams displayed immense passion, zeal and sporting spirit.

With the efforts to promote the "Fit India Movement" and "Khelo India Campaign", sports items were also distributed to the team.

The youths were also made aware about the importance of sports in human life along with various career opportunities in the held of sports.

The audience included youths, children and women folks who enjoyed the well contested match.

The event concluded with a group photograph as a token of remembrance for all and refreshments for all attendees.
