Women's U-15: PCC, Al-Ameen register contrasting wins

PCC and Al-Ameen secured contrasting victories in the 2nd MNCA Womens U-15 One Day Trophy 2024-25 on Sunday.
PCC produced an all-round performance to pummel MPA by 296 runs in their encounter at THAU Ground.
Opting to bat first, PCC posted a formidable total of 327/8 in 30 overs, thanks to strong batting displays from Ningthoisana Thoudam (109 not out), Nongthombam Langlenthoibi Chanu (90), and Okram Yashica (11).For MPA, Salaingambi Thokchom claimed 2 wickets, while Yumnam Echapamu Chanambam Nevia took one.
PCC then dismantled MPA's batting lineup, restricting them to just 31 runs in 15.5 overs.
Ningthoisana Thoudam led the way with a brilliant 4-wicket haul, supported by Nongthombam Langlenthoibi and Laishram Anjali, who took 2 wickets each, ensuring a resounding victory.
In contrast, Al-Ameen triumphed over SHADOW by a narrow 1-wicket margin at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.
SHADOW, batting first, set a target of 203 in 24.3 overs, with notable contributions from Viviene Laishram (57), Victoria Thokchom (28), and Hanglem Malemnganbi (20).Najiya Begum was the stand-out performer for Al-Ameen with 5 wickets, while Farhana claimed 3 and Linthoi Khulem took 2 .
In their chase, Al-Ameen reached the target in 29.2 overs, losing 9 wickets along the way.
Najiya Begum topscored with 47, followed by Farhana (27), Laishram Langlenthoibi (24 not out), Linthoi Khulem (16), and Nongmaithem Cherryma (12), securing a hard-fought victory.
