ESU to face PTCC in MNCA Superplate Tournament final

Imphal, April 29 2023: The second semifinal match of the MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022-23 between ESU (Wangkhei) and KSDO (Kiyamgei) on Saturday ended in an unexpected manner as the latter refused to play in the second session, costing them the match.

Following KSDO's decision, the final match will now see ESU and PTCC square off for the title on May 3 at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou.

In this connection, Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) issued a notice that read, "As per the Tournament Committee Meeting held on 29th April 2023 at the MNCA Conference Hall at 3:30 pm.

regarding the interruption of 2nd Semi-Final match between ESU & KSDO of 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022-23 held at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou, at the 2nd Inning Session, the members have unanimously resolved that as per the Tournament Conduct Rule No.7 (Interrupted or Delayed Match) (d), as KSDO Team had refused to play the match, making the match incomplete, the match has been awarded to the opponent team, ESU, Wangkhei" .

"Final match of the 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022-23 will be played on 3rd May 2023 at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou between PTCC, Patsoi and ESU, Wangkhei" .
