Kakching, January 28 2022: 1st Mantak Foot-ball Club Cup 2022 - 9-a-side State Level Football Tourna-ment organised by Mantak FC commenced on Friday at Mantak village playground.The opening ceremony was attended by social worker Mayengbam Ranjit, Mantak village chief K Cheiraojao Kom, and subedar (Naga Reg-iment) Thongam Anal's wife M Chaoba Kom as chief guest, functional president and guest of honour respectively.

21 teams are taking part in the tournament.

They are TSYC-Tuiring Sangang, SDO-Pallel, Cup FC-Sangai-yumpham, Muji FC-Sora and Yaioibi FC- Lamjao in Pool A; Manithoiba FC-Tekcham, Tombi FC -Lilong, SWC-Kei-rak, FC Tentha, Seidam-ba FC-Tentha and Internet FC-Khongjomin in Pool B; Khudei FC-Khudei Khunou, FC Evening-Mantak, SAL FC-Sora, Mantak FC-Mantak and AIFA -Irengband in Pool C; and Langathel FC-Langath-el, Yaisa-Kakching, Unapal FC-Unapal, FC Pioneer-Man-tak and TYPA-Sora in Pool D .

In the opening match, Cub FC-Sangaiyumpham beat Muji Sora by a 1-0 margin, while Langathel FC and TYPA Sora played out a goalless draw in the second match.
