Imphal, November 27 2021: Lambung YCC beat Riverlane YC on penalties to win the DC Chandel Trophy Football Tournament sponsored by the Chandel district administration.

After both sides failed to make their efforts count in regulation time, the final match went into a penalty shootout where Lambung outscored Riverlane 4-2 to lay their hands on the championship trophy on Saturday at Mini Sports Complex, Chandel.

In the shootout, Mosimla, Amjit, Angnahring and Dimusing converted their shots to help their side emerge triumphant.

Riverson and Oliver were the scorers for Riverlane in the shootout contest.

Tampi FC's Shingval Anal was adjudged as the best player, Charangching Khullen YC's DB Robert was given the top-scorer award and Riverlane YC's HB Oliver was named the man of the final match.

Both Pyrum Tampak SC and Tampi Fc received the best team award.
