MU Inter-College Handball Tournament kicks off

Imphal, October 25 2024: Four men's matches and two women's matches took place on the first day of the Manipur University Inter College Handball Tournament 2024-25 at Shree Shree Gourgobind Girls' College, Khurai on Friday.

In the men's competition, Biramangol College and Pravaabati College both registered two wins.

Biramangol College kicked off their campaign with an impressive 15-7 win over NB College, led by Beckham L's seven goals.

N Shitaljit contributed three goals, while L Hemba added two, and Y Chinglensan, L Gautam, and K Rajeswor each scored once.

In their second match, they surpassed their earlier performance, dominating Manipur University 26-10 .

N Shitaljit scored nine goals, Beckham L netted seven, L Hemba tallied four, Y Chinglensana added three, L Gautam contributed two, and N Keshorjit scored one.

Pravabati College began their tournament with a convincing 18-6 victory against NB College, where A Premson and A Tondonba both netted five goals.

A Manichandra scored three, while Yaiphaba and Roshikanta each added two, and Naresh contributed one.

They followed this with a dominant 28-6 win over Manipur University, with Yaiphaba and A Premson scoring seven goals each, A Tondonsana adding six, Rohikanta netting four, Manichandra contributing three, and Naresh scoring one.

In the women's competition, Biramangol College and SSGG both secured victories on the first day.

Biramangol College defeated TS Paul 7-3, led by Kh Meloda's five goals and two from A Roshin.

SSGG had a commanding win over TS Paul, finishing 23-4, with Th Anjubala scoring six goals, Th Jenila and I Ronibala each contributing five, K Sonia adding four, L Umabati scoring two, and H Jenita netting one.
