Pathap FC, YDA emerge victors in Tbl 2nd Division League

Imphal, January 21 2022: Pathap FC eked out a 1-0 victory over YDA as REFA downed PADSW by a 4-2 margin in the Thoubal 2nd Division Football League at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Ground, on Saturday.

Pathap FC relied on Prashan Jajo's goal to scrape past YDA 1-0 in a tight first match.

Prashan scored the important goal in the 41st minute.

REFA, on the other hand, had an easier game against PADSW as Tomba starred in their 4-2 triumph.

REFA were ahead in the 11th minute after Santosh buried the ball in the back of the net, but PADSW overturned the scoreline in the space of two minutes when Yalkhomba slotted home the equaliser in the 12th minute and teammate Dingku put their team ahead in the 14th minute.

REFA, however, found the leveller in the 23rd minute through Prabin and never looked back.

Tomba converted in the 32nd minute to give REFA the lead before he went on to put his side 4-2 up in the 39th minute as they defended well to come out dominant victors.
