SAIRC clinch 2 gold at State Archery C'ships

SAIRC clinched two gold medals, while NSA and BAA each earned one at the State Archery Championships 2024 on Sunday.
SAIRC dominated the girls' and boys' recurve team events.
The girls' squad, comprising L Rabina Devi, S Henthoi Devi, U Morning Chanu and Yaikhomba Thongam, prevailed in a shoot-off as the SAIRC girls held off NSA 27-22 to win the gold medal.
NSA's team included S Melody K Sandiya and L Twinkle Devi.
BAA took home the bronze medal.
In the boys' recurve team event, SAIRC's K Rohit Meitei, L Nikhil Singh, Bikram Moirangthem, and L Viko Singh accumulated six points to secure another gold.
BAA finished second, followed by AAA in third place.
Meanwhile, NSA's S Melody Devi scored 632 points to win the girls' recurve 60+60m distance event, with ESU's Y Sanamanbi Chanu claiming the silver and SAIRC's L Rabina Chanu taking the bronze.
BAA's P Chomtham walked away with the boys' recurve gold medal after scoring 657 points.
L Zeous, also a BAA archer, secured the silver and SAIRC's K Ronit Meitei earned the bronze.
