BSC-A, TCMDC emerge victorious in 12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament

Imphal, February 19 2025: BSC-A, Brahmapur Sangai Chuthek and TCMDC, Thongju emerged triumphant in today's matches of the ongoing 12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament.

In a Group A match staged this morning, BSC-A chased down a target of 164 runs set up by toss winners YCC, Wangkhei to cap their campaign with 2 wins (in four matches) .

YCC added 163 runs for 6 wickets to their tally after opting to bat first as Loya Meitei scored an unbeaten 45 off 48 balls and Sanjit (31) and L Everest (27) made significant contributions.

For BSC-A, Thoungamba (2/29), Yaiphatanba (1/31), N Robert (1/19) and K Lalmani (1/36) shared 5 wickets in the first innings before Irungbam Thoungamba anchored with a unbeaten 63 off 44 balls with Irungbam Jit (33 not out off 14 balls) to seal the victory in 19.5 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.

Thoungamba was eventually adjudged player of the match.

Later in a Group B match, TCMDC crushed BSC-B by 178 runs.

TCMDC rode on an unbeaten ton from S Rakesh (109 off 63 balls) and contributions from Th Tarun 41, Oinam Gulshannanda 29 and Damen Karam 26 not out to rack up a huge total of 236 for 3 wickets and bowled out BSC-B for 58 runs in 14.2 overs thanks to leading bowling performances from Khagemba (3/15 in 3 overs) and Brajakumar (2/7 in 2 overs) .

S Rakesh of TCMDC was eventually adjudged player of the match.
