KMSWC, LYA notch up contrasting wins in Kak Super Div League

Imphal, June 12 2024: KMSWC and LYA registered contrasting victories in the 21st Kakching Super Division Football League at DSA Kakching playground on Wednesday.

KMSWC came form behind to seal a convincing 3-1 win over UBSA in their encounter.

E Joykishan converted in the 12th minute to put UBSA in front.

However, KMSWC responded in the 21st minute with Md Samir on target, and then turned the tables on their opponents after Irphan netted in the 35th minute.

Then it was up to Rajkhan who made his effort count in the 74th minute, ensuring their team's comfortable victory.

Earlier in the day, LYA overcame a stiff challenge from LMLCC to run out 3-2 winners.

P Goutam gave LYA the lead only four minutes into the game, and L Hemson doubled their advantage in the 46th minute.

LMLCC, however, clawed their way back into the game as E Birendrakumar halved the deficit with a 61st-minute strike before L Subash made it all square in the first minute of injury time.

With barely seconds remaining, LYA pulled off a surprise when L Hemson scored to tilt the scales in his side's favour.
