LKL beat CPC 8-3 in Women Polo Tournament opener

Imphal, December 22 2022: Linthoinganbi Kangjei Lup (LKL) sealed a comfortable 8-3 win over Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CPC) in the opening match of the 18th Women State Level Polo Tournament underway at Mapal Kangjeibung, today.

The tournament is being organised under the aegis of All Manipur Polo Association.

The match witnessed Kh Deventy of LKL delivering a creative performance as she alone scored three goals in the first chukker and one each in the 3rd and 4th chukker while her team-mates M Priya Devi (2 goals) and M Bijenty Devi (1 goal) made their presence felt with their contributions.

Despite leading the game right from the beginning, the players of LKL didn't turn to defensive tactics but scored goals after goals while their opponent struggled as they managed to convert only three chances - one each in the first, second and third chukker.

The three goals of the losing side were scored by Neelu RK (2 goals) and Kh Chaoba (1 goal) .
