CYCLONE set up MNCA Elite title clash with TRAU

Imphal, July 22 2022: CYCLONE, Thangmeiband notched up an 8 wicket win over PTRC, Patsoi via DLS method in the second semi-final match ofthe6th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Toumament to set up final date with TRAU on July 24 .

PTRC won the toss and elected to bat first here at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium today.

They however had a forgetful day as CYCLONE'S Kishan Laishram (5/10) and Maisnam Raju (4/20) folded up for 97 runs within 26.4 overs in a rain affected innings.

The target was revised at 100 runs in 32 overs and CYCLONE chased down the target in 28.2 overs at the cost of two wickets.

In PTRC's innings, Loitongbam Shitaljit (27 off 51) was the highest run getter followed by Gemson (20 not out in 37 balls), Khangembam Santosh (18 off 33 balls) and Jotin Pheiroijam (15) .

In reply, Bishwoijit Singh removed Jenpu Kamei for 9 and Jotin Pheiroijam dismissed Narsingh Yadav for 19 to reduce CYCLONE to 33 for 2 in 7.5 overs but Longjam Ronald (40 off 74 balls) and Kishan Laishram (30 off 54 balls) stood firm to post a winning 102 in 28.2 overs.

Kishan Laishram who picked five wickets and added an unbeaten 30 was adjudged man of the match.
