KIWT: Jonlhing Veng victorious in U-15, volleyball, veteran football

Kangpokpi, January 21 2022: Jonlhing Veng were victorious in U-15 football, women's volleyball and veteran football matches in the ongoing 18th Kangpokpi Inter Ward Tournament 2022 at Brigadier M Thomas Ground.

In U-15 football this morning, Jonlhing Veng had an easy 4-1 victory over Lamdil Veng with Thangminkai's brace in the 8th and 46th minutes, and another two goals from Ngamgunsang (12th) and Lungougin(39th) while Seigoulun pulled back a goal for Lamdil Veng in the 18th minute.

In women's volleyball, Lamdil veng defeated Len-dou Veng 21-5,19-21,18-21, 21-12,15-6 in the first match while Jonlhing Veng defeated Phungtin Veng 21-9, 21-6, 21-8 in the second match.

In men's volleyball, Kholmun Veng defeated Kilkhong Veng 25-10, 25-21, 25-17 in the first match while in the second match Nanglhun Veng defeated Enjakhup Veng 17-25, 25-11, 25-15, 25-16 .

In veteran football, Kholmun Veng had a 1-1 draw with Lamdil Veng after a narrow 0-1 loss in their previous match.

Thanglenlal found the lead in the 27th minute for Lamdil Veng which was shortly equalised by Knofmun Veng through Lamminhao in the 36th minute.

In the second veteran match, Jonlhing Veng beat Sipinthei Veng 2-0.Mangminhao (14th) and Nehgoulen (20th) scored for the winning side.

In main football, Dr GG Crozier Mission Compound had a 6-3 win over Lendou Veng.

Paogunmang (7th), Khupsanglen (11th, 20th), Khaigun (26th), Demkhoseh (34th), and Lenjakham (51st) scored Dr GG Crozier side while Seigouthang (25th OG) and Haogunchon (46th, 59th) scored for Lendou Veng.

The second main football match betweenJonlhing Veng and Moltinchan Veng ended in a 1-1 draw.

Premson scored for Moltinchan Veng in the 5th minute but it was equalised by Haominlen of Jonlhing Veng in the 50th minute.
