Samaram Cup: Malem FC, Subhan FC split points as SFC ease past KFC 2-0

Imphal, April 20 2025: Malem FC and Subhan FC shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller, while Samaram FC got the better of Keirak FC in Sunday's matches of the Samaram Cup - 3rd State Level Open Football Tournament 2025, held at Samaram playground in Thoubal.

The match between Malem FC and Subhan FC was a rollercoaster of momentum shifts.

Rohit broke the deadlock for Malem in the 22nd minute, only for Samir to equalise for Subhan in the 35th.Punit restored Malem's lead just before half-time with a 40th-minute strike, but Subhan struck back almost immediately through Mustafa in the 45th minute.

After the break, Bitan put Malem ahead once more in the 47th minute, but Samir proved decisive again for Subhan, netting his second in the 55th minute to ensure the points were shared in an enthralling contest.

In the day's other fixture, Samaram FC dominated Keirak FC with a clinical 2-0 win.

Dhana opened the scoring early in the 7th minute, before Abinash doubled the advantage in the 23rd.A resolute defensive display ensured Samaram saw out the victory, consolidating their position in the tournament.
