Thoubal League: KRC win as PALYC, SLYO draw

Imphal, June 13 2024: KRC emerged victorious while PALYC and SLYO played out a 1-1 draw in the Thoubal 1st Division Football League at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing on Thursday.

KRC notched up a 3-1 victory against UMFC.

S Thanil opened the scoring for KRC in the 24th minute, and Th Suraj doubled their advantage in the 30th minute.

UMFC reduced the deficit in the 37th minute courtesy of Taslim Khan, but M Hanjaba restored KRC's two-goal cushion in the 44th minute as the team held their ground for the 3-1 result.

SLYO were denied a win by PALYC after the former squandered a first-half lead and settled for a 1-1 draw.

S Bidyachandra put SLYO ahead in the 34th minute before PALYC put up a spirited fight to restore parity with Shahidur scoring the equaliser in the 78th minute for the eventual 1-1 stalemate.
