RCA beat WYC by 6 wickets to reach MNCA Superplate final

RCA (Lilong) sealed a commanding 6-wicket victory against WYC (Thoubal) in the first semifinal of the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament 2024-25, held at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal, on Sunday.
Opting to bat first, WYC struggled against RCA's disciplined bowling attack, managing a modest total of 111 runs in 26.2 overs.
Wangkhem Shamungou stood out with a resilient 57, while Ruhit Nongmaithem remained unbeaten on 14.RCA's bowling unit, led by Zamir Khan, dismantled WYC's batting lineup.
Zamir claimed an impressive 4 wickets, supported by Danish Khan with 2 scalps.
Aziz Mirza, Nasirshah Alam, Zuned, and Naesh Hussain chipped in with a wicket each, showcasing a collective effort.
In response, RCA chased down the target in 26.2 overs, losing 4 wickets.
Syed Hussain anchored the innings with an unbeaten 56, while contributions from Alfash Khan (20), Imran Khan (16), and Anush (13) ensured a comfortable win.
Danish Khan added 5, and Zamir Khan remained not out on 2 .
WYC's bowlers struggled to contain RCA's batsmen, with Huirongbam Biteshwor taking 2 wickets and Mangi Sharma adding 1 .
The second semifinal, featuring YWC (Langthabal) and CDCC (Sagolband), is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025, at the same venue.
