Imphal, August 27: Defending champion NISA, Thangmeiband recorded its second consecutive victory in the 3rd Manipur State League Football Tournament defeating visitors NYLC, Churachandpur at SKYC, Sekmai ground today.

NISA took the lead on S Bikram's 12th minute goal while S Herojit added two more in the 55th and 87th to notch up the victory.

Ginthianlal netted NYLC's lone goal in the 26th.At Khabeisoi ground, host YWC, Thambalkhong suffered 1-0 defeat to NEROCA, Sangakpham with M Ibochouba scoring the all important goal in the 52nd minute while TRAU, Tiddim Road pipped ESU, Wangkhei on Hemkhosuan Touthang's 52nd minute goal at Hiyangthang kangjeibung the winners' home turf.

In the day's other matches, host SSU, Singjamei and AMOFA, Moirang settled for a goalless draw at Chajing Kangjeibung with the USA, Khurai and MPSC tie at the formers' Khundrakpam ground also ending in similar manner.

At Bishnupur Mini Stadium, home side TRUGPU and PYC, Phoudel too played out a goalless draw.
