Imphal, April 26 2023: PTRC-Patsoi Part IV eased to their second Group C victory in the ongoing 1st MNCa Men's U-19 One Day Trophy as they beat Model Club by 2 wickets at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Model Club were bundled out for just 136 runs in 33.3 overs and PTRC chased down the target in 29.4 overs.

For Model Club, Biyon Naorem and Irungbam Tonton scored identical 31 as Tamarland Pheiroijam (3/36 in 8 overs), Khaidem Joyraj (2/20 in 6 overs) and Rohit Sharma Aribam (2/20 in 5.3 overs) made life tough for Model Club with their incisive bowling feats.

Thounaojam Pritam and Laitonjam James also picked up a wicket each in this innings.

In reply, PTRC also had the same fate with Model Club's Chirom Chiran (4/16) leading the bowling attack but concerted efforts from Lann Naorem (17), Grison Laitonjam (25), Tamarland Pheiroijam (20), Stoneson (19) and Khaidem Joyraj (18) ensured PTRC the narrow win with two wickets left to spare.

Gurumayum Prince Sharma of Model Club also picked two wickets in this innings as N Ronald and N Biyon claimed a wicket each.

PTRC's Tamarland Pheiroijam who scored 20 runs and picked 3 wickets was adjudged man of the match.

Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College ground, TCMDC-Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak who suffered opening game(Group B) defeat, thrashed Al-Ameeen-Lilong by 8 wickets after bowling out the latter team for just 55 runs within 18.3 overs.

Kongbrailatpam Kalyan Sharma picked up four wickets (4/12 in 4.3 overs) to break the backbone of Al-Ameen line up who won the toss and opted to bat first after L Vivekanada (2/18) and Rain Urikhinbam (2/17) dealt early damage.

Only Imanur (11), Md Ziour Rahman (11) and Md Sahir Ahamed (13) were double digit scorers for the Lilong team.

Rain Urikhinbam led the TCMDC chase with an unbeaten 25 and guided the team to winning 56 in 7.1 overs with Takhellambam Nganba (5 not out) .

Rain was named man of the match.
