Imphal, November 25 2021: Thoubal's Shantikumar will take on Leishangthem Boyai of Kakching in the elite men's 60 kg title clash in the ongoing State Level Boxing Championship being organised by the Manipur Amateur Boxing Association at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

Shantikumar booked the final berth today beating Letkhoson Haokip of Tengoupal today in a semi-final bout for the elite men's (1981-2002) 60 kg category.

L Boyai on the other hand outlasted Rahul Kumar of Imphal East in another to complete the final line up.

State Level Boxing Championship

In the elite men's 57 kg (1981-2002) semi-final bouts, Laishram Edison of Imphal West defeated Keisham Luckysun of Imphal East to set up final date with Mangte Loya Kom of Chandel who downed Laishram Romance Singh of Thoubal.

Md Nazimuddin of Kakching and Heigrujam Irabot of Imphal West in the meantime will face each other for the 48 kg category title.

Nazimuddin saw off Nameirakpam Manao Singh of Bishnupur in a semi-final clash today while Irabot got a walk over against Imphal East's Hawaibam Bonen Singh.

Sub-Junior Boys
Laishram Mangansana of Imphal East and Jayraj Yengkhom of Imphal West will locks horns for the sub-junior boys (2007-2008) 55 kg title.

L Mangansana got the better of Kinny Ningthoujam of Bishnupur in the first semi-final bout of the said weight category to earn the final ticket before Jayraj Yengkhom of Imphal West outlasted Laishram Khelendro of Thoubal in the remaining semi-final bout.

Meanwhile, Thongram Manithoiba Meitei of Thoubal saw off Kakching's Thoithoiba Thangjam to set up ultimate clash for sub-junior boys (2007) 40 kg category with Ningthoujam Naocha of Imphal East who defeated Wangthoi Chirom of Imphal West in the earlier semi-final bout.

Junior Boys
Huidrom Rishi Mangang of Imphal West too bagged a place in the junior boys' (2005-2006) 46 kg category final beating Md Mujahid of Kakching today in a semi-final clash.

He will meet Ukhrul's Awungshi Jingo who downed Bishnupur's Thaimei Jackson today in the other semi-final bout of the said weight category.

Youth Men
In the youth men's (2003-2004) 51 kg semi-final clashes staged today, Laishram Deepak of Imphal West downed Thoubal's N Chinglensana to set up final date with Thokchom Amitkumar of Bishnupur who beat Kaping Hongchui of Ukhrul in another semi-final bout.

Youth Women
Fighting for the title of the youth women's (2003-2004) 48 kg category are Sanabam Surmala Chanu of Bishnupur and Timreichon Kasomwoshi of Ukhrul.

Sanabam Surmala entered final beating Tensubam Rojibala Chanu of Imphal East today while Timreichon Kasomwoshi downed Pinky Oinam of Imphal West.

Kayenpaibam Bandana and Elangbam Thoithoi will on the other hand fight it out for the youth women's (2003-2004) 50 kg category title.

Thoithoi Chanu of Kakching got the better of Tingmila Doungel of Kangpokpi today in a semi-final match to set up final date with Kayenpaibam Bandana of Imphal West who got the better of Bidya Maisnam of Bishnupur in the first semi-final bout.

Elite Women
Eliza of Imphal West will take on Ngangom Reema Devi of Bishnupur in the elite women's (1981-2002) 48 kg category final as they defeated Tengnoupal's Pipa Khurim Dangshawa and Imphal East's Manshi Chanu respectively in today's semi-final bouts.

Junior Girls
Venika Yumnam of Bishnupur to made it to the final of the junior girls (2005-2006) 50 kg category as she downed Moirangthem Luxmi of Kakching in a semi-final bout staged today.

In the final, Venika will face Hijam Jenika of Thoubal who beat Ningombam Ripa Devi of Imphal West in another semi-final bout.
