4th MNCA Superplate Tournament : RCA beat Blue Hawk by 28 runs for fourth win on trot

Imphal, December 20 2024: RCA, Lilong cruised to their fourth Group A match of the ongoing 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament with a 28-run victory over Blue Hawk at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.

Syed Hussain produced a blistering knock of 81 runs off 51 balls and Md Alfash added 40 off 48 balls to lead RCA to 188/8 after they won the toss and elected to bat first.

Aziz Mirza (3/35 in 6 overs) and Zamir Khan (2/22 in 5 overs) then led the RCA bowling attack to hold Blue Hawk to 160/7 in reply.

For Blue Hawk, Ningombam Jackiechan 2/31 and H Samsung 2/26 picked two wickets apiece before Nongthombam Ajit 50 off 38 balls and Amom Guniram 33 off 48 balls led the batting charge in a lost cause.

Syed Hussain who starred with the bat was adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground, bowlers and Maibam Ashokumar as TCMDC crushed KASC, Khomidok by 10 wickets for the second straight Group B win after two opening game losses.

Thongam Nganthoi (4/12 in 5 overs), N Arbin (3/10 in 5 overs) and Laishram Valindra (2/12) were clinical in their approach as they bundled out KASC for 75 runs in 29 overs.

Only WM Rajak 16 and Md Shahir Khan 14 were the double digit run getters for KASC after they won the toss and elected to bat first.

In reply, Suraj Kharibam 20 and Maibam Ashokumar 40 produced an unbeaten first wicket partnership to steer TCMDC to winning 75 in just 7.4 overs.

Thongam Nganthoi who enjoyed a four wicket haul in TCMDC's victory was adjudged player of the match.
