Linthoi strikes gold at Asian Cadet & Jr Judo Championship

Imphal, July 19 2022: Linthoi Chanambam won a gold medal and opened India's medal account on the third day of the Asian Cadet & Junior Judo Championship 2022 at Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday.

Linthoi claimed her gold medal in the 63kg category of the cadet event.

She is the daughter of Ibohal Chanambam of Mayang Imphal Thana Maning Khunou.

This was India's first gold and the first medal in the five day competition.

A part from Linthoi Chanambam.

the Indian team has seven other jukodas from Manipur with Laishram Monalish Devi and Ningthoujam Sheetal in the cadet category.

and Huidrom Matonleibi Devi, Leishangthem Nungshithoi.
