Cyclone overwhelm Model Club in Veteran Cricket tourney

Imphal, December 15 2022: Cyclone Thangmeiband beat Model Club Chingamakha by 4 wickets in Group B encounter of the XIXth Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2022 at Luker Ground , Imphal West.

The tournament is being organised by Manipur Veteran Cricket Association, Imphal.

In today's match, Ksh Bikram of the Thangmeiband side was declared man of the match as he showcased impactful bowling as well as batting performances.

He struck 39 runs of 51 balls and fell three wickets in six overs.

Opted to bat first, Model Club set a target of 140/7 in the 30 over match with only three batsmen hitting double digit runs (Suresh - 29 runs of 34 balls, Rickel- 13 of 23 balls and Th Ajit- 25 off 46 balls) .

In the innings, Kh Bikram fell 3 three wickets while his team-mates S Tiken, Iqbal and S Robindro took one wicket each.

Cyclone Thangmeiband successfully chased the target in 26 overs and took home the win.

Ksh Bikram (39 off 51 balls) and Shyamsunder ( 37 off 27 balls) were the top scorers of Cyclone.

Bobin of Model Club fell three wickets in the second innings.

YWC Langthabal will play KCC Kongba tomorrow.
