28th All Manipur Shooting Competition : BSISC's Stacy Leitanthem breaks own record

Imphal, June 12 2018: Stacy Leitanthem of BSISC broke her own record in 10 M sub-junior women's 0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle Championship of the 28th All Manipur Shooting Competition 2018 being held at Khuman Lampak Shooting Range today with a score of 380 points which was 15 points better from her previous record set last year.

Jyotika Laishram of the same unit levelled Stacy's last year score of 365 points to finish second while Jenifer Laishram clinched the bronze medal with a total score of 360 points.

10 M Air Pistol Championship: Andrew Telheiba of BSISC added another gold medal in the 10 M Air Pistol Championship for Junior Men with a total scored of 359 points while Phurailatpam Rahul Sharma of Imphal East District Rifle Association (IEDRA) scored 351 points to settle for the silver medal and Dusarat of Imphal West District Rifle Association (IWDRA) bagged the bronze medal with 313 points.

In the 10 M Air Pistol individual championship for men (novices), Longjam Kirankumar of IWDRA bagged the gold medal with a total score of 331 points while Rajdeepson Longjam of BSISC and Soibam Rohan of IEDRA shot 325 and 299 points respectively to win the silver and the bronze medal.

Nongmaithem Jelina Devi of BSISC shot a total of 299 points in the 10 M Air Pistol individual championship for women (novices) to fetch the gold medal while Gurumayum Sonia Devi of IWDRA and Silivia Heishnam of BSISC finished second and third with 292 and 256 points respectively.

In the sub-junior men's 10 M Air Pistol individual championship, Phurailatpam Rahul Sharma of IEDRA shot 351 points to win the gold medal while his compatriot Amakcham Yohenba Meitei won the silver with a score of 338 points.

Jenish Moirangthem bagged the bronze medal with 338 points.

In the sub-junior women's 10 M Air Pistol individual championship, Greenland Wangjam and Arina Leishangthem of BSISC scored 348 and 334 points to claim the gold and the silver medal respectively while IEDRA's Thoudam Merisana clinched the bronze medal with a total score of 328 points.

0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle Championship
Rajkumari Kalpana of JSRIPS went ahead in the individual 10 M 0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle Championship for women (novices) with a total score of 338 points to lay her hand on the gold medal while her compatriots Ashathoi Thangjam and Syed Salima won the silver and the bronze medals respectively.

Ashathoi scored a total of 322 points while Syed Salima scored 311 points in this event.

BSISC are now in the pole position of the medal tally with a total of 7 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals while IEDRA which led the medal tally till yesterday are following closely with 7 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals.
