State Level Sepak Takraw C'ship : PUC-A, SWC emerge mini girls and boys champions

Imphal, November 11 2021: PUC-A, Kairang and SWC, Hiyanglam were respectively crowned mini girls and mini boys champions at the State Level Sepak Takraw Championship which is underway at Ibudhou Marjing Hanjang Leikai Information, Cultural and Social Welfare Library Information Club (IMSUC) ground, Heingang under the auspices of the All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association.

PUC-A defeated IMSUC 21-10, 21-13 to claim the title of the 20th edition of the mini girls championship while SWC downed PUC-A 21-14, 21-19 to claim the mini boys' title.

In yesterday's mini boys league round matches SWC beat HUDIC Heingang 21-19,18-21, 21-9; PUC-B 21-10, 21-10; IMSUC-A 21-16, 21-16; IMSUC-C 21-7, 21-5; PUC-C 21-11, 21-9 and IMSUC-B 21-15, 21-8 to earn the final spot.

In the other league round matches of the same competition, PUC-A beat PUC-B 21-9, 21-8; IMSUC-B 21-5, 21-9; HUDIC 21-15, 21-8; PUC-C 21-6, 21-7 and IMSUC-A 21-19, 21-14 to finish league runners up and book the final ticket.

35th Senior Men's Championship (Regu)
In the Group A league matches of the senior men's Regu competition, IMSUC-A secured three wins today edging past SAI-RC 21-19, 18-21, 21-9; MPSC-B 21-18, 15-21, 21-17 and beating YAWA-A 21-13, 21-18.The day also saw YAWA-A down PUB-B 21-8, 21-11, SAIRC beat YAWA-C 21-13, 21-18 and MPSC-B beat PUC-B 21-11, 21-19 in the other Group A league matches.

Meanwhile in the Group B league matches, YAWA (B) , Singjamei secured two wins to boost their knockout stage chances.

They earned a 21-15, 21-16 win over PUC-A in the opening match before easing to a 21-17, 21-10 past the hosts, IMSUC-B.In the other Group B league matches, MPSC-A beat IMSUC-B, Heingang 21-15, 21-15 and SWC Hiyanglam got the better of MPSC-C 21-19, 21-16 .
