Companies of 66 Bn CRPF host 10 km runs at two venues

Thoubal/ Jiribam, September 06 2026: D and C Companies of 66 Bn CRPF today hosted 10 km runs as a part of the "Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation" initiative with the support of SAI and Fit India Campaign.

D/66 Bn CRPF hosted the race from Thoubal DC Office this morning.

The run that headed to Wangjing Traffic Cross before returning to the starting point was flagged off by 2IC Ops, 66 Bn, CRPF Suresh Yadav.

Kh Zabed Hussain and Diviya Devi made top finishes in men and women's section to walk away Rs 10,000 richer as the second and third place finishers in both the segments received Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 .

Meanwhile, C/66 Bn CRPF, Nongpok Sekmai hosted a similar event at Nongpok Sekmai.

The run was flagged off from NESA ground, Nongpok Sekmai and covered Selom Loukon before returning to the flag off venue.

In the run, Kangujam Kabiraj Singh (39:20), Rohit Akoijam (40:05) and Phuritsabam Debachandra (41:25) made top three finishes.

They were respectively feted with a cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively.

The day also saw 48 Bn CRPF conduct a similar 10-km run in Jiribam.

Md Saharul Ahmad, Md Abdul Kalam and Md Azar Hussain were the podium finishers in this run.

Yesterday, 158 Bn CRPF conducted a similar run at Senjam Chirang.

K Bipin, L Raj and M Chinglensana made top three finishes in the men's segment of the run while Usham Bebi, Naorem Monica and M Laksana were top three finishers in the women's segment.

100 first registered participants were also handed out event T-Shirts.
