Imphal, September 05 2024: Hanjabam Hritikraj bagged a silver as Thokchom Bidyabuson and Kangambam Chinglenkhomba won bronze medals in the Eastern India Open Classic & Equipped Powerlifting Championship 2024 being hosted by Jharkhand in Bokaro.

Hanjabam Hritikraj, who is also the son of The Sangai Express' Sub-Editor H Rajendrakumar Sharma, won the silver medal in the 74 kg category as he registered 202.5 kg in squat, 150 kg in bench press and 202.5 kg in deadlift.

Thokchom Bidyabushon in the meantime won the bronze medal in the men's 59 kg category.

He lifted 190 kg in squat, 115 kg in bench press and 180 kg in deadlift to amass 485 kg .

Kangabam Chinglenkhomba on the other hand managed 160 kg in squat, 115 kg in bench press and 220 kg in deadlift to win the bronze medal in the men's 60 kg category.

The championship will run till September 7 .
