The Khurai Polo Club (KPC) (A) and Imphal Riding Club (IRC) lifted the 25th Governor's Cup Invitation Polo Tournament 2015 and 14th Governor's Cup Women's Polo Tournament 2015 on Sunday.
KPC-A defeated Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) (A) by 7 goals to 4 while IRC over came stiff challenge from District Pana Sagol Kangjei Association (DPSKA), Keirak by 3 goals to 2 in the final march played at Mapal Kangjeibung.
In the Men's final, KPC-A took early lead of match when L Ashutosh and P Jotin pumped in 2 and 1 goals respectively in the first chukker.
At the same time KCP players defended their custody to keep a clean slate and took at 3-0 lead.

In the second chukker, KPC did not lose the momentum by adding 2 goals from Rozer.
MPSC-A efforts to reduce the deficit was rewarded through a goal by S Bimol.
At the breather KPC was comfortably placed at 5-1 score.
Any hope of MPSC-A coming into the match was thwart when KPC -A plucked the attacks of MPSC-A in the buds and fires in 1 more goal through P Ojit.
KPC -A inched toward the Governor's trophy by the end of the penultimate chukker by leading 6-1 goals.
The complex of the game suddenly changed when MPSC-A break the resistance of KPC and scored 3 goals through Th Ranjit (2 goals) and 1 goal from Abungcha.
However, KPC keep their nerves and fires 1 goal through L Thomson to pocket the trophy by 3 goals advantage.
In women's section, the match between IRC and DPSKA was an evenly matched where both the team tries to give away the lead to the other.
The first chukker started evenly and was levelled at 1 goal each through Kh Habe, IRC and Ashakiran, DPSKA.
The second chukker also ended with no team adding any gaol to their kitty.
In the third chukker IRC took the lead with 2 goals from K Damenti and K Romabati.
DPSKA reduced the lead through S Sumanti's first goal of the match.
The chukker ended in 1 goal advantage to IRC at 3-2 score.
DPSKA come back strongly in the final chukker to stay in the match but all the attempts were defended till the final whistle and marched away as the winner.
The final match was attended by the O Ibobi Singh, Chief Minister and Th Lokeshwar, Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Singh as the Chief Guest and President among others.
Addressing the players and the capacity crowd Ibobi lauded the efforts being made by Manipur Horse Riding & Polo Association (MHRPA) for the development of polo and informed the initiatives being taken up by the government for the preservation of pony horse at Marjing.
Chief Minister also assured the polo enthusiast of Manipur that the government will not shy away from taking care and promotion of pony horse and polo.
Khurai Polo Club was awarded a cash prize of Fifty thousand and a gift along with the trophy while the runner-up team Manipur Police (A) received Thirty thousand and a gift along with the trophy.
The women's champion team Imphal Rising Club was awarded Twenty thousand and a gift along with the trophy while the runner-up team received Fifteen thousand and a gift in addition to the runner-up trophy.
