4th Junior/Masters/Physically challenged National Body Building: Manipur win overall champion title

Manipur bagged the team championship in the 4th Junior/Masters/Physically Challenged National Body Building Championship held at the Indoor Stadium of Khuman Lampak Sports Complex with 54 points followed by West Bengal with 30 points and Andhra Pradesh with 17 points.
Played under three categories, Junior, Masters and Physically Challenged and in different weight categories, Manipur hogged the limelight in the championship which concluded late last night.
In the Junior category which was played under six weight categories, N Suraj competing in the 75 Kg and above segment, emerged the overall champion.
In the 55 Kg Junior category,, Kundan KR Gope of Jharkhand took the top spot followed by Shyamal Debnath of Assam, L Nita of Manipur, Shree S Krishna of Odisha and N Johnbush Singh of Manipur.
Indranil Maity took top honours in the 60 Kg Junior category followed by Nara Singh of Manipur, Lanchenba of Manipur, Vinod Metry of Karnataka and H Santosh Sharma of Manipur.
In the 65 Kg Junior T Rama Krishna of Andhra Pradesh took the top spot followed by Mammonishaque Goney of Arunachal Pradesh, Suman Barai of West Bengal, Vipin Yadav of Haryana and L Robert of Manipur.
Samiran Nandi of West Bengal finished at the top in the 70 Kg Junior followed by A Shushilkumar of Manipur, Shabaz Ali of West Bengal, K Malemnganba of Manipur and Sushant Mhatre of Maharastra.
S Bungcha Singh of Manipur bagged the top spot in the 75 Kg Junior category followed by Somdatta Rohilla of Haryana, M Robby Meity of Assam, Surjit Kumar of Delhi and M Dhaneshwar of Manipur.
In the 75 Kg above category, the top honour went to N Suraj Singh followed by Ruslan Shah K Naikwadi of Maharastra, Debajit Kumar of Jharkhand, Mayur Gharat of Maharastra and K Shashikanta of Manipur.
In the Masters category staged in three age groups, Th Suraj Singh of Manipur emerged on top in the 40-50 years segment followed by K Dinesh Chandra Singh of Manipur, Bala Pharang Kharsingh of Meghalaya, A Premchand Singh of Manipur and Riyaz Mohd Shaikh of Maharastra.
In the 50 to 60 years category of the Masters round, ADGP P Doungel of Manipur bagged the top spot followed by Kartekashwar Jena of Odisha, Lukram Kiran Singh of Manipur, Subhash Mujumdar of West Bengal and Nandan Kanli Roy of West Bengal.
In the 60 years and above category of the Masters, Y Nando Luwang of Manipur came out tops followed by Ch Indra Singh of Manipur, Rajendra Kumar Saxena of Uttar Pradesh, L Madhu Singh of Manipur and Ajit Kumar Datta of West Bengal.
The overall champion in the Masters category was bagged by Th Suraj.
In the physically challenged category, which was held in two weight categories, S Vasant Kumar of Karnataka bagged the top spot in the below 65 Kg section followed by Yashwant Hirwani of Chattisgarh, Vikramjeet Singh of Punjab, Lokesh Kumar of Uttarakhand and Ashwant Kumar Sonwani of Chattisgarh.
In the above 65 Kg section, Gopal Saha of West Bengal bagged the top spot followed by S Premkumar Singh of Manipur, Satuyveer Singh of Uttar Pradesh and Devendra Yadav of Madhya Pradesh.Gopal Saha bagged the overall champion in the physically challenged category.
The meet was organised under the aegis of Indian Body Builders' Federation.
