Manipur bags 11 more medals

Imphal, February 14 2011:
Manipur garnered as many as 11 medals including six gold medals on the third day of the ongoing 34th National Games being hosted at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Of the six gold medals, one was won by Y Shantibala in the women's 57 Kg category of Taekwondo.
The other five gold medals were won in different disciplines of Wushu.
The gold medal winners in Wushu are L Sanatombi (Daijiquan), Ng Toshibala (Daoshu), N Roshan (Jianshu), Y Sapna (Jianshu) and L Sanatombi Chanu (Taijijian) .
In men's Daoshu category, N Indrakumar bagged a silver medal as P Thoibi added another silver medal from Jianshu category.
S Boro competing in men's Nanjao category won a bronze medal.

Two other bronze medals were also won by E Sanatomba in men's 54 Kg category and P Premjit 68 Kg category of Taekwondo.
In rowing, Ch Priya has sailed into the final of both women single skull event and double skull, the later pairing with Th Chaoba Devi.
The pair of Ng Tababi and O Rameshwari have also stormed into the final of women coxless (pair) event.
The quartet of Ng Tababi, O Rameshwari, Kh Devala and Zingrangphi have also booked their place in the women coxless (four) final.
In squash, Ksh Rebika has moved to the second round after defeating his Bihari opponent 4-1 .
