Imphal, July 30 2021: Recently named interim president of MPCC N Loken Singh has assured party members that the Congress would win at least 45 seats in the coming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election in 2022 .

He said this during the first office bearers meeting of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) after he assumed charge of as interim president of MPCC today at Congress Bhawan and highlighted several points to strengthen the party.

Before the commencement of the meeting, a two minute silence was observed to condole the sudden demise of Sanasam Koireng Singh, former permanent secretary of MPCC on July 28 at the age of 73 .
