Imphal, October 25 2024:
The Indian Army has issued a statement clarifying recent reports in various newspapers that three PREPAK (Pro) cadres were killed in a clash while attempting to raid a hideout of KNA (B) cadres and Indian military forces.
The statement categorically refuted the claims about involvement of Indian armed forces, terming the same as "absolutely false and misleading" .
The statement issued by PRO Defence emphasised the importance of accuracy in reporting and urged media outlets to verify facts from authorised sources of the armed forces or the ministry of defence before publishing any news related to the Indian armed forces.
