Assam Rifles seizes liquor worth Rs 2 lakh

Senapati, June 05 2021: Maram Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Jwalamukhi Sector/IGAR(E) seized liquor and apprehended two individuals.

After receiving information regarding the smuggling of local country made liquor from Imphal to Senapati from a reliable source, a quick reaction team was immediately launched on NH-2 to nab the smugglers.

A total of 1050 litre of country made liquor was confiscated along with two accused identified as Kung Thubow and Agikambo'u of Makui Village, Senapati district.

The two individuals along with the seized liquor were handed over to Senapati Excise Station.
