Foundation receives Biodiversity award

Imphal, May 28 2022:
Chongnga Foundation, Wangoo Makha Leikai has been awarded the National Biodiversity Award 2021 in the category of 'Conservation of Wild Species'.
In a release, Foundation president Sh Bangkimchandra Singh informed that the Award was presented to the Foundation during a ceremony held in Chennai on May 22 in the presence of Union minister for forest, environment & climate change Bhupender Yadav.
The Award was given to Chongnga Foundation for its work on conservation of Chongnga/great myna (Acridotheres grandis) by making artificial nests.
The Award comprises a trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, it added.
